The Railroad Museum is governed by a board of volunteer directors elected to serve for staggered, three-year terms. These volunteers serve the organization in various capacities, fulfilling different responsibilities within the organization, from laying bricks to giving guided tours of the museum. The Board meets quarterly in the Pike Room of the Chamber of Commerce, adjacent to the Railroad Museum. The Ironhorse Festival drew more than 12,000 visitors to downtown McComb last year. Held on a Saturday during Spring, the Festival closes off the streets in the historic downtown area for a day of family fun, including a craft fair, games, talent contests, fireworks and a concert, featuring the country music group Restless Heart. Of course, the Railroad Museum is a destination of choice for many of the downtown vistors during the festival. Click the link for more pictures of last year's Ironhorse Festival.
